What we Have to Lose

Macclesfield’s charms are known to residents, new and old, but are classically undersold in our place marketing. We know what they are: great schools, fantastic location and transport links, and those hills – 5 minutes away in the car, instant to the eye.

In this document here are some of the views we lose if the scheme goes ahead in this form What will we lose if this development happens

We can further understand the potential negative impact of this scheme by looking at places which have already undergone similar developments, for example, Wrexham, in North Wales. Wrexham’s Wilson Bowden scheme was completed in 2008.

See this document for a comparison of the two town schemes and some evidence of impact: Wilson Bowden in Wrexham and Macclesfield
